It is said that food, clothing and shelter are needed to survive, but we believe that only food is needed to survive. Man can live in rags and sleep on the streets, but he cannot live without food. Did you know that millions of people cannot afford nutritious food to feed their children because their income is low? Millions of children die of starvation due to malnutrition. To think that one child would go to bed hungry somewhere in this country is heartbreaking… to know how many do is virtually incomprehensible. This is not only a problem that exists in the far reaches of the globe. It happens right here in our own backyard.

Who is most at risk for undernutrition?

India is home to the most malnourished population in the world

• 189.2 million people i.e. 14% of our population is undernourished
• Poor pregnant and lactating women.
• Poor people with low incomes.
• Homeless and orphans.

One in three malnourished children in the world lives in India. Our children are going to school hungry. They lack concentration and cognitive development, which causes them to drop out of school. Join our mission to prevent our children from missing out on their chances of success. Together, as concerned citizens, we must do more to make sure every child’s needs are met. We are trying to satisfy the hunger of such children through this campaign but it is not possible without your help. We urge you to contribute as much as you can to the expansion of our campaign.
